VHFA career opportunity: Homeownership Outreach Coordinator


By: Leslie Black-Plumeau Reposted from VHFA, October 9, 2012 Vermont Housing Finance Agency, located in Burlington, VT, announces an immediate opening for an Outreach Coordinator for its Homeownership Department and is looking for an energetic, creative and focused team player. This is a full-time position, though for the right candidate a part-time schedule will be considered. This is a great opportunity to work with the Agency’s housing partners around the state to provide affordable housing to low and moderate income Vermonters. Primary responsibilities include promoting VHFA’s Homeownership (HO) Programs through training and marketing with Mortgage Lenders, Real Estate Professionals, Home Building organizations, housing non-profits and consumers. Also represents VHFA at industry events and participates in program development. Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience, and a minimum of three years experience in mortgage lending and/or real estate sales is required, with experience in affordable housing advocacy desired. Experience in public speaking and the design and preparation of training materials and presentations required. Position requires regular travel throughout Vermont and a valid VT Drivers license, with dependable transportation. Highly developed computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Demonstrated professional customer service skills along with excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must. Must be highly organized, able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines and work with a wide range of individuals, internal and external to the Agency.
