Sad News

We’re saddened to share the news that Terry McKnight passed away this past weekend of a heart attack. Terry was the Executive Director of the Addison County Community Trust, a Board member of ANEW Place and a longtime Coalition Steering Committee member. He had a deep and passionate belief in serving our most vulnerable neighbors. We also knew him to be full of life – his presence always filled the room – and one of the most positive and generous people in our circles. In a world full of cynicism, you could count on Terry to put a smile on your face. He’ll be sorely missed. Viewing and visiting hours will be on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service and time for sharing of memories at 6:30 p.m., at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Shelburne at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, with burial to follow in Shelburne Village Cemetery. The full obituary can be found here: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/burlingtonfreepress/obituary.aspx?n=terrance-robert-mcknight&pid=173340418&fhid=4950.
