Please set aside Wednesday, February 16th as a day that you and your organization’s key supporters will spend in Montpelier talking and advocating in the Legislature on the importance of funding for the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board to your organization and the communities it serves. Conservation and affordable housing are critical economic development investments that must remain a priority throughout the challenges of the state’s ongoing fiscal crisis. Homeless Memorial Vigil & Legislative Day January 5, 2011 Legislative Day: 9:00 AM – 3 PM in the Card Room, State House, Montpelier Vigil: 12:00 PM -1:00 PM on the State House Steps, Montpelier The state’s homeless shelters and service providers will gather for their annual Legislative Day and Vigil at the State House. The Vigil will commemorate the thousands of Vermonters who received housing and/or services this past year. Both before and after the Vigil, advocates will discuss with Legislators the needs of Vermonters who are homeless and at risk and what can be done for those others who aren’t able to receive these services.
