Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition’s AmeriCorps VISTA member wrote and was approved for a Disney Friends for Change Grant for $500 that will bring a summer-long youth garden program into Brookside Mobile Home Park in Starksboro, VT. Come build raised-beds with us! Lumber for the beds will be supplied by P&P Lumber in Starksboro and the compost/ top soil from C.V. Compost in Charlotte. Head south on Rt. 116 from Hinesburg 8 miles. Go through the village of Starksboro up a hill and as the road descends, Brookside Mobile Home park will be on your right. You’ll see the sign to the entrance. From the south: Drive north on Rt. 116 out of Bristol toward Starksboro. Travel about 8 miles and before you go up the hill into Starksboro, Brookside will be on your left. The entrance is not visible so if you get to Starksboro village you’ve gone too far. Once you turn around and head back the way you came, you will see the sign (Which now will be on your right). Once you enter Brookside, someone will be there to direct you.
