Source: Memo to Members, NLIHC, 7/29/11 In an ongoing effort to improve the look of HUD’s website and make it more user-friendly, HUD has recently launched a new webpage that provides a wealth of information on preserving multifamily housing. This is a valuable resource that makes available all in one place multifamily preservation information that was once dispersed over various parts of the website. Site users can access notices on the new policies and procedures around prepaying and refinancing Section 202 loans for the elderly. Notices on ways to preserve properties with maturing FHA-insured properties are also available as are numerous resources on the Mark to Market program. Finally, from this webpage you can access important publications and data, such as the Section 8 Renewal Guide and various multifamily portfolio datasets. Preservation-minded advocates should check back here often for updated notices, guidance and legislation.
