100,000 Homes Registry Survey Volunteers Needed, October 20-22

The greater Burlington area 100,000 Homes registry project is well underway and we are recruiting volunteers to help. Volunteers are needed to help with community canvassing of our homeless neighbors on the street, in shelters, in encampments and at meal sites on October 20, 21 & 22 The goal of this Registry Event is to create a by-name registry of people living on our streets and in shelters, enabling us to prioritize those who have been out there the longest and who are the most vulnerable. What we learn together during this week will help us implement strategies to reduce chronic homelessness in the greater Burlington area. Attendance at a training session (Thurs., 10/16 from 5:30-8 p.m. or Sat., 10/18 from 9:30-11:30) is required. Volunteers will work in teams with a team leader. Schedules will vary from 4-7 a.m. street canvassing to day and early evening shifts at other sites. To learn more contact Laurie Dana at 802-861-7832 or email laurie@unitedwaycc.org. to view or download a flyer with full details on volunteering for this event click here.
