The Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) currently has three Program Manager openings available with the focus areas of Low Income, Lighting Technology, and Community Energy. Each position is targeted as a Program Manager Level 3 but placement will depend upon experience. The positions will report to Barry Hulce in the Operations & Implementation group. Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in energy efficiency implementation planning or management or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. 2. Five years of experience in project or program management including tactical decision-making, influential leadership, facilitation, resource management, budget management, communications, and the ability to develop and attain goals. A Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management (PMP) certification is highly desired. 3. Proven ability to develop strong working relationships, collaborate with internal staff, customers, and trade allies. Low Income Focus: This position will program manage Efficiency Vermont’s Low Income Initiative which includes the program portfolio covering Low Income Single Family, Low Income Multifamily, and Market Rate Multifamily. This position is responsible for collaborative program development, managing day-to-day program operations, and providing operational oversight for multiple programs to ensure that program implementation aligns with customer needs and Efficiency Vermont’s goals. The Program Manager will be actively engaged with public groups such as Weatherization Agencies, Home Ownership Centers, and low income agencies to effectively administer useful and effective programs. Contract and budget management is an ongoing activity. The role requires experience with low income programs, excellent communication and influence skills, a moderate understanding of building structures and codes, and a strong background in program management with the ability to manage a large number of individual programs within a comprehensive portfolio. Lighting Technology Focus: This position will program manage Efficiency Vermont’s Lighting Technology Initiative. This includes collaborative program development, managing day-to-day program operations, and providing operational oversight for multiple programs to ensure that program implementation aligns with customer needs and Efficiency Vermont’s goals. This position will direct multiple resources including internal staff and contractors to develop and deliver high quality lighting programs which are efficient to operate and easy for customers to utilize. The role requires excellent communication and influence skills, a moderate understanding of different lighting technologies, and a strong background in program management with the ability to manage a large number of individual programs within a comprehensive portfolio. Community Energy Focus: This position will program manage and provide leadership for Efficiency Vermont’s Community Energy Initiative. This includes collaborative program development, managing day-to-day program operations, and providing operational oversight to ensure that program implementation aligns with community group interests and Efficiency Vermont’s goals. This role is responsible for state-wide community stakeholder development through frequent interaction with energy groups and volunteer organizations. The role requires excellent communication and influence skills, a proven record of driving community based actions, experience providing a high level of customer service, and the ability to manage a large number of individual programs within a comprehensive portfolio.
