On October 2 at the Knights of Columbus in Barre the Vermont Resident Services Coordinators Association will putting on a training in Motivational Interviewing:
Jennifer Hunter and Pamela Paré of Cathedral Square Corporation will give a presentation on the spirit of Motivational Interviewing (MI). Motivational Interviewing is a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence. During this training, participants will learn and practice basic counseling skills that are essential in MI. Participants will look at the natural aspects of resistance and how MI skills can meet a person where they are at and can promote change.
Admission is free for Vermont Resident Service Coordinators & Vermont Housing Managers Association members. Non-Members are invited to attend for $10 (includes admission & lunch). RSVP to dhemmings@maloneyproperties.com. 2 Continuing Education Units will be issued by VHFA. The details:
