Reposted from Kenn Sassorossi, Housing Vermont Press Release, November 30, 2012. “The Environmental Protection Agency is presenting the Brattleboro Food Co-op (BFC), the Windham & Windsor Housing Trust (WWHT) and Housing Vermont (HV) with the 2012 National Award for Smart Growth Achievement in the category of Main Street or Corridor Revitalization in a December 5 ceremony in Washington, DC. The award recognizes the organizations’ development of a new building providing two floors for BFC and 24 mixed-income apartments on the top two floors in the same site as the former BFC store.
