Rural Development Regulation Reform
The Rural Development State Director for VT/NH has been asked to conduct stakeholder meetings to discuss reg reform at RD per the Obama Executive Order 13563 “Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review” . The Executive Order is requiring all federal agencies to review existing regulations to determine which if any, should be amended, supplemented, or repealed. The Executive order sets out principles and requirements that promote public participation in government and encourage agencies to coordinate, simplify, reduce costs and promote consistency for businesses and the public. For RD programs, the agency has put out a web site for interested parties to comment about RD reg reform for all of our programs. Comments should be sent to rdregreform@usda.gov.
