The Mental Health Advocacy Day will happen next week, on Wednesday, March 9th from 9:30am-3:00pm, including a rally at noon. Join other consumers, family members and providers to voice support for proper funding for mental health and developmental disability services–and oppose the Governor’s proposed budget cuts! The Day will kick off at 9:30 AM with a joint House and Senate committee hearing where testimony will be given on the vital role of community mental health services in our lives–and our need to preserve them! We will end the Day with an ice cream reception starting at 2:00 pm with legislators in the State House cafeteria. So, please call or email your local legislators and invite them to meet you there at 2:00 pm!
