Source: WCAX.com Burlington, Vermont – January 5, 2011 Nearly 20 adults with special needs in Burlington have no place to go right now. The building they currently live in has been sold to Burlington College by the Vermont Catholic Diocese. The college has other plans for the property, known as Lakeview Community Care. The Howard Center, which leases the property, was looking to move its clients to St. Marks, a former convent also in the New North End. But WCAX News has learned that deal will not go through. However the Howard Center says their residents will not be kicked out of their current location until another home is found. Jan. 3 Coverage: No resolution for Howard residents in wake of diocese sale.
