FYI: As you all know, the recent storms/flooding in VT have completely devastated people’s homes and livelihoods. Governor Shumlin has vowed to help Vermonters in-need with flood damage. The The Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration (BISHCA) is helping to provide aid to victims of the flooding. Visit their website for more information or contact Brenda Clark, a Consumer Services Specialist at BISHCA: Call: 802 828-3302, Email: Brenda.Clark@State.VT.US. The flooding hit the River Run Mobile Home Park in Berlin exceptionally hard. The homes in the park were completely devastated and many residents are contemplating never returning to their previous homes. Families of the mobile home park lost everything in their homes and are trying to figure out how to repair their lives. It is very likely that the homes in the park may be condemned. A lot of mobile home parks in Vermont are located in low-lying, flood areas. Please read this article from the Burlington FreePress to see how the residents of this mobile home park were affected: Residents of flooded central Vermont mobile home park ponder future.
