Aligning Housing Mission and Asset Management with Judy Weber of VIVA Consulting Housing, Development and Management Solutions
This workshop is designed to provide Housing ED’s, Senior Asset and Property Managers and Board members with the ability to:
· Develop an intentional asset management strategy for their housing portfolio
· Link their asset management strategy to their mission
· Help participants prioritize the components of their asset management strategy
· Understand the opportunities and risks associated with various components of an asset management strategy
Judy Weber's practice spans a wide array of property and asset management initiatives. She recently worked with the Windham Housing Trust and Champlain Housing Trust in evaluating those organization’s property and asset management systems and recommending beneficial changes. She comes highly recommended to us by Connie Snow and Brenda Torpy. Ms.Weber has many years of experience in affordable housing and community development both as a national consultant and with The Community Builders, Inc., The Shoreline Corporation and the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency.

HUD sponsored HEARTH / HMIS Training Conference
September 27-30, 2010
Atlanta, GA
Each conference will focus on HMIS implementation, and the important changes made to HUD’s McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Programs by the 2009 HEARTH Act. Attendees will learn how the HEARTH Act amendments may affect local planning and future program operations and what steps should be taken to prepare for the transition to new requirements. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about requirements for electronic reporting on homeless programs in a hands-on environment.
HUD strongly encourages CoC leaders, HMIS administrators and ESG and HPRP grantees to attend one of the conferences. Attendees may register for only one conference. Online registration and additional information is available at www.onecpd.info. There is no registration fee for the conference, however, attendees are responsible for travel and other expenses associated with attendance. Scholarships are available to assist Continuums of Care (CoCs) defray these expenses and registrants can request scholarship application materials through the registration website. Registration will close four weeks prior to each conference. On-site registration is not permitted. Attendance is limited to 750 persons at each conference.
